The Macross Saga

The Arrival: In 1999, a colossal alien fortress crash-landed on South Ataria Island, ending a global world war. Humanity united to rebuild the ship, deciphering its "Robotech" secrets to create a new generation of transformable mecha.

The War: On launch day in 2009, the Zentraedi—a race of giant warriors bred for conquest—arrived to reclaim the ship. To save the ship, Captain Gloval executed a space fold that accidentally transported the SDF-1 and Macross City to the edge of the solar system.

The Journey: For two years, the SDF-1 fought its way back to Earth. It was a journey that transformed a reckless stunt pilot named Rick Hunter into a leader, and introduced the Zentraedi to the culture and music of Lynn Minmay—a weapon more powerful than any cannon.
